The Convent High School 150th Anniversary Fund Raising Committee planned a health walk as a fundraiser. The walk was scheduled for Saturday 1st March 2008 at 5:00 am, to the community of Wotten Waven.

Over 100 persons signed up for the early morning walk. On arrival at the school, persons were already assembled and eager to set off. The cold morning air and overcast skies did not daunt participants. Registered hikers were each given an armband and the real early birds received T-shirts. The first group eagerly departed at 5:05 am.

Cell phone contact kept organizers abreast of pace and arrival, as prizes were to be given for the first and second persons, the youngest and most senior to arrive. The winners all arrived within 1 hour.
The winners were

1st Mrs Julia Douglas-Johnson
2nd Jewele Browne (Form 4-C)
Youngest Chelsea Dailey (Form 1-1)
Most senior
Mrs Josian Shillingford

The final group arrived at 7:15 am. All participants were awarded 2 points towards their House.
The committee wishes to thank all participants and also DIGICEL for part sponsorship of the activity.

The next fun events scheduled are

  • Easter Bonnet parade – Easter Sunday from 11:30 am
  • Sports Activities - March 7th – April 26th. Old Girls please sign up to play for your house
