Gabriella Shillingford is First Runner-Up in Miss Teen Pageant
Gabriella Shillingford of form 4-E of the Convent High School was awarded the first runner-up position at the 2008 Miss Teen Dominica Pageant on Sunday, 27 January.
Shillingford, who was consistent in her delivery of class and grace in all four rounds of the competition, took the award for best speech.
Shillingford, a student from the community of Point Michel, is a peer councillor, class captain, and a house official of St Theresa’s House. She is no stranger to the stage as she was the Carnival Princess of 2003.
Six contestants participated in the Saturday’s show. Kari Panthier of Portsmouth Secondary School was the winner of the title and Raheem Henderson of Dominica Grammar School was second runner-up.
Gabriella was managed by Miss Audris Jno Baptiste.
