CHS Tops Spanish Spelling Bee Competition

On November 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m, three students represented the Convent High School at the Petro Caraibe Spanish Spelling Bee. The students who participated were Grace Etienne (Form 2-1), Kayjah Charles (Form 2-4) and Maria Malcom (Form 1-3). The competition was held at the Venezuelan Institute.

Several secondary schools also participated in the competition. These schools were the Castle Bruce Secondary, Wesley High School, Isaiah Thomas Secondary, Orion Academy, Community High School and Dominica Grammar School. The Convent High school emerged winner with Maria Malcolm obtaining First place and Grace Etienne as Second place. A student from the Isaiah Thomas Secondary captured Third place.

The Convent High School congratulates Maria Malcolm, Grace Etienne and Kayjah Charles along with their teachers, Mrs. Emanuel and Mrs. Fabien for their exemplary performance at the competition.
