Convent High School was four for four at the South West Cultural Semifinals held at the Coulibistrie Primary School on Saturday 4th October 2014.

The School won first place in the Kweyol Song in the children group, children individual and adult categories. The choir delivered with much flair, a song entitled ‘Nou Satisfè’.

Dana Peltier sang Tó Ta and Mr. Akim Ismael, staff member, ‘Pwédyé pou lamou’. All songs performed were written by Miss Leandra Lander.

Singers were accompanied by Rael Felix, Janae Jackson, Mr. Akim Ismael and Shirvon Baron.

The CHS dance group danced their way to the top too with a very entertaining and energized performance under the directorship of Miss Natasha Nation.

The school will compete against other finalists from other cultural districts on the weekend of 10th-12th October with hope of making it to the grand Cultural Gala.

CHS takes the opportunity thus far to thank with much appreciation Bull’s Eye pharmacy who assisted the choir.
