A hearty World Environment Day to the Convent High School! On Tuesday 5th June, World Environment Day was celebrated in CHS.

The CHS Environmental Club did a special assembly on that day. There was a regular bible reading, but in addition to that, two poems were read, one, by our very own, Brexi Joseph. The Club also recited their pledge and sang their song, composed by the head girl, Kaidie Williams.

Indeed, it was a great assembly and to top it off, a special guest, Ms. Lolita Raffoul, from the Discover Dominica Authority, gave an inspiring speech on green economy. To end, Form 2-2 was awarded a certificate of appreciation to commend their hard work in recycling.

I do hope that we have all learnt something from this assembly and plan to do at least the little things that will help save and protect our environment and make a difference.
