Bishop Visits Convent High School

His Lordship, Bishop Gabriel Malzaire made his annual visit to Convent High School on Tuesday, 9 March, 2010.


The day began with an assembly led by students and staff members of the school. During his reflection on the Gospel reading of the day, His Lordship advised the students that they should each strive to become a whole person. He also urged students to follow in the footsteps of Christ.

After the assembly, Bishop Malzaire, accompanied by the school's principal, Mrs, Josephine Dublin and the deputy principals, Mrs Diane Bannis and Miss Annette Austrie, visited various classrooms and had interaction with the students. The Bishop also got the opportunity to meet with students who work in special ministries in the Catholic Church and others who hold leadership positions in the school.

Finally, Bishop Malzaire met with the staff of the school to discuss the joys and hardships of providing Catholic education in Dominica.
