2016 June CSEC and CCSLC Pre-Slips Available
Pre-slips for the 2016 June CSEC and CCSLC Results may be uplifted from CHS office from Friday August 26 between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Students who have not returned books to the Ministry of Education, must return these books and obtain a receipt from the Book Distribution division at Bath Estate. The receipt should be presented to the CHS office when uplifting pre-slips.
CHS 2016 CSEC and CCSLC Results Outstanding
Despite the challenges faced as a result of the passing of tropical storm Erika on 27 August 2015, Convent High School maintained its excellent record at the 2016 CSEC and CCSLC Examinations. All 30 students who sat the CCSLC examinations obtained a 100% pass rate in both French and Spanish. For the CSEC examinations, of the 720 subject entries, the school secured 708 passes resulting in a pass rate of 98.3%.

My SUMMER - My NTRC
CHS 2016 Prize Giving Ceremony
The Convent High School’s 2016 Prize Giving Ceremony for Forms 1-4 took place on Wednesday July 6, at 9.00 a. m. on the grounds of the Convent High School. Invited guests were: Our Chaplain, Msgr. William John-Lewis, Representatives of Sagicor, and parents and guardians of our prize winners. The morning’s ceremony was hosted by teachers, Mrs Evalina Emmanuel and Miss Sherena Christmas. Sherniah Alleyne of Form 2 sang the National Anthem and Elleen Commodore, president of the Communications Club welcomed the assembly.
Our Chaplain, Monsignor William John-Lewis blessed the morning’s proceedings and also commented on Matthew’s Gospel- Chapter 10:1-7 which had been proclaimed by Miss Odessa Elie. Performances were done by Form 3’s Jody Peltier, Michelle Morancie and Kayjah Charles who sang “Send it on”, the music students did enchanting renditions of the Halleluia by L. Cohen from the movie animation “Shrek” and “Worthy is the Lamb”. The school’s band performed “Rock the Blues” while the Sign Language Club and CHS Dance Troupe transported the students into an energising summer.
Students in each form were awarded prizes for Efficiency, Diligence, Steady Application, Leadership ,Conduct and Class Spirit. Also, Shelise Bell was awarded the 1st Runner up prize in the Sagicor Visionaries Challenge and some of the CHS Music band and Drama Club members were honoured at this ceremony.
The student with the Highest Fourth Form average, Tarrie Anselm ended the morning’s proceeding with a Vote of Thanks.
Communications Club Banquet 2016
The C H S Communications Club held its annual banquet on Thursday, 30 June, 2016 where a successful year of hard work and modest accomplishments were celebrated.
This year’s banquet was held in Picard, Portsmouth at the Mango Cafe Restaurant & Bar owned by Dr. Shiv Dhiman. The Club is eternally grateful for the generosity of its host and appreciated the opportunity to sample the sumptuous cuisine of the Mango Cafe Restaurant & Bar.
The club's president, Elleen Commodore, summed up the year’s activities during her address. She made note of the impact of Tropical Storm Erika on the club’s usual participation in debate and public speaking competitions - many of these competitions were either postponed or cancelled in the wake of the storm’s passing.
Following this, the graduating members of the club were given certificates and gifts in appreciation for their many years of dedicated service to the club. The graduating members are:

Certificates of appreciation were also awarded to members of staff who helped the club throughout the academic year, namely, Ms. Audris Jno Baptiste and Mrs. Julia Johnson. A special mention was made of Ms. Odessa Elie who has served as a club advisor throughout her tenure at CHS.
United For Children - Awareness Walk 2016
The 'United For Children' hosted its first annual awareness walk against child abuse on Saturday 2 July 2016 from the Roseau Bayfront at 8am to the gardens in which we had a brief social gathering with refreshments. Even though the weather almost seemed against us, we went through with our walk under the theme "it shouldn't hurt to be a child."
We would like to extend a heartful thanks to all the participants, sponsors and contributors whom made this day perfect for everyone involved!
