The CHS Credit Unionette held its first launching for the academic year 2015-2016. As part of their assembly, the members of the club acknowledged the fact that it took months to recover from the devastation caused by Tropical Storm Erika. The members of the club were kind enough to lend a hand to recovery efforts. The club donated much needed material to some schools and their student population.

The following schools received donations:

  • Coulibistrie Primary School
  • Roseau Primary School
  • Dominica Community High School
  • Convent High School

A big thank you is extended to the mother of LeShaun Precious Peter (Club's chairman) and CODIA & Friends  for all the school material. Also, to Ms. Isabella Prentice and Ms.Natasha Nation for  guiding the club through everything.

The Credit Unionette also introduced their new programme, inspired by student Gabrielle Didier (Club's President), called ' Act of Kindness'. This programme will be done twice a month where a staff member is randomly chosen and is blessed with a small token on behalf of the Credit Unionette. The first teacher who was honoured was Mrs. Fabien.

The entire club including The Supervisory committee, The Board of Directors and The Crediting committee, continues to work very hard to make this venture successful and for that, the school body applauds their tremendous work.

The CHS Credit Unionette encourages everyone to save as a dollar a day, a dollar can go a very long way!
