An addition to the keyboarding (Touch typing) program this term are keyboard covers. Posters of the keyboard layout line the walls of the Sr. Hilda computer lab as the alphabet keyboard is now covered—the aim to force the development of touch typing skill.

The Electronic Document Preparation and Management (EDPM) teacher who is also the keyboarding teacher in forms 1 and 2, Miss. Edna Desabaye, expects that “By the end of form 2 the students will be typing properly, at a rate of at least 35 words per minute. This will allow them a competitive edge in seeking employment, though that stage is still far ahead”.
