On Friday December 13 the Convent High school heralded the Christmas season and closed the year 2013 with a special assembly led by the Head Girl-Kael Benjamin, Deputy Head Girl- Sue Elyn Myers, Prefect Josie Ann Le Blanc and the Monitors.

The Assembly began with the lighting of the third and fourth Advent candles and a vocal quartet made up of three teachers (Miss Lander, Mr. Ismael, Mr. Peter) and Shanice Langford. The Sign Language club, the School Choir School, the School Band and the School Dance troupe all added to the magical feeling that is Christmas.

Young , outstanding teacher, Miss Tishena Lloyd was bade farewell by the Monitors in a tear-filled tribute.

A few charity organizations(St Vincent de Paul, the Grotto, the Infirmary) and a representative of the Winston ward of the hospital were present. The Institute of the Arts treated the students to a display of dance by our reigning Miss Dominica 2013, Leslassa  Armour -Shillingford, together with other students and teachers of the institute. What a great send off to 2013!!!
