On Tuesday 16 April, the Convent High School Alumnae Association of Ontario, Canada, handed over 100 chairs to its Alma Mater.  During the last academic year – 2011 to 2012 – the Association also gave  the school 100 chairs. This totals a gift of 200 chairs.

In the small ceremony the Association's Representative Mrs Lorraine Dorival addressed the school's body, she gave an overview of the group's effort at providing for their alma mater.  She asked students to urge their families in Canada to support the Association's fund raising efforts.

Mrs Dorival led in a symbolic chair labelling ceremony.  All the guests present affixed one of the Association's labels to the back of some chairs.

The Association thanked Mr Malcolm Stephens who partnered with it through providing freight for the chairs.  Mr Stephens also addressed the school's body and gave a donation of EC$1000 to the 2013 Graduation.

Entertainment was provided by a Third Former, Janae Jackson performing I know that my Redeemer Lives, followed by a rendition from the School Band.  Both items won gold medals at the 2013 Schools Art Festival.

Mr Andre McAulay, Vice Principal, thanked the Association for its continued support of the school.  He wished God's blessing on the members and their families, as well as their endeavours in supporting the school. He also thanked Mr Stephens for coming forward and assisting the Association and also for his generous financial contribution to the school's 2013 graduation.

The guests and media were all invited to light refreshments in the school's auditorium.
