CHS 2012 Prize-Giving Ceremony Forms 1 - 4

Today the Convent High School celebrated its end of year by lauding its successes in the annual Prize-Giving Ceremony.


Mistresses of Ceremony were Misses Etinoffe, Durand and Matthew. The morning’s proceedings began at 9 a.m. with the National Anthem sung by a student, Khanisha James. Fr Elveau Augustine, officiating for our Chaplain, Monsignor William John-Lewis, said the Opening prayer. This was followed by an inspiring rendition of the Our Father in Swahili- Baba Yetu sung by the Convent High School’s choir. Teacher, Shannie  Blanc  read the Gospel reading of the day (Matt 8: 28-34) after which Fr Elveau gave a commentary to all present.

The Principal, Mrs. Josephine Dublin, remarked on the achievements of our school over the academic year as well as the challenges that we faced. The mornings celebrations were punctuated by students displaying their talents in the Choral Speech Group, the CHS School Band , the Sign Language Group and the CHS Dance Troupe.

Mrs. Bellot, on behalf of The Class of 1987 made a special presentation to the school as this class celebrate their 25th year anniversary.

The vote of thanks was given by the Fourth Form student with the highest average, Ms Jade Alexander.

The morning’s proceedings ended with the CHS Holiday song and the School song.

Form 4 Jade Alexander 89.2%

Form 3 Kadisha Culpepper 92.4%

Form 2 Iyka Dorival 90.3%

Form 1 Marie-Ange Emanuel 91.7%
