On January 20th 2012, the house of St Agnes celebrated its annual House Feast Day. On that day, the members of St Agnes led the school’s morning assembly in the remembrance of the patron saint, St Agnes.

Invited guests included the former House Mother, Mrs Agar, the former House Captain and reigning Calypso Queen, Tasha Peltier, among other past St Agnes members.

The assembly was led by the House Captain Shantell George and Vice-Captain Kayla Jean Jacques. Six bidding prayers were read by St Agnes members of each form, and a house mother.

Sharise Fabien sang a special song entitled ‘Because of who you are’, and this was followed by a poem read by Ma-eve Peltier. Another song was sung by Jannicka Joseph, before certificates were handed out by Ms Audris Jno Baptiste. Certificates of appreciation were received by all invited guests, former St Agnes students who performed well in the 2011 CXC Examinations, and present students of St Agnes who were commended on their excellent participation in House activities.

At the end of the assembly, Tasha Peltier treated the school to a poem written by her, and her calypso song ‘Let children be children’.

Finally, led by Mrs Agar, the House members sang their House Song, ending the assembly with the School Song.
