On Monday October 10th, the Convent High School once again launched the 2nd annual under 15 Netball tournament in the school’s auditorium.

This tournament had been organized in order to fulfill the requirements of the School-Based Assessment (SBA) for the CSEC Examinations as well as to raise the interest of young women in the sport of netball.  The SBA required that students would plan and execute a sporting event; therefore, the students chose to do a netball competition.  These students had different roles to execute, for example, coaches, scorers, umpires, and executive members of the association.  The competition is run using the rules and regulations of the Secondary Schools Netball Competitions organized by the Sports Division.  Teams had to fill in a registration form and pay a registration fee of $30 to assist in running the competition.
