On Thursday 6 October, Convent High School celebrated Teachers' Appreciation Day.

Kayla Jean Jacques was the MC of the special assembly lead by the school's Monitors, in honor of Teacher’s Day. It began with a poem written by Keisha Bruney and read by Lynelle Lestrade. This was followed by a meaningful bible reading from Ephesians 4:11-13.

After this, there were four bidding prayers with the response ‘Lord graciously hear us’. The bidding prayers were for teachers, families, the school and the nation. Consequently, the monitors sang a song dedicated to the teachers to the tune of ‘Just You And I’.

Then each teacher was presented with a token of appreciation. When all the teachers had received their gifts, an acrostic poem by Leah Dodds was read. Thereafter, a second poem about the school’s teachers written by Gail Parillon and Danila Paul was read by Danila and Lynelle Lestrade. The penultimate event was the singing of the school song. Finally, Mr. McAulay thanked the students for their tokens, poems and prayers on behalf of all of the teachers.

A very Happy Teacher’s Appreciation Day To All of CHS’ Teachers!
