Seventy-four Graduate from the Convent High School (2009)

On July 1 2009, the graduating class of the Convent High School walked through the Botanic Gardens in anticipation of their final day as students of this institution.

The graduation ceremony was celebrated under the theme, 'Climbing unto a Higher Branch of Life's Tree, One Step Closer to our Destiny.

Numerous well wishers, staff and distinguished guests were present at the ceremony. During the event the Head girl, Miss Daina Matthew, welcomed the guests present. Additionally, the principal, Mrs Josephine Dublin, gave a report of the year while His Lordship, Rev. Gabriel Malzaire, and the featured speaker, Mrs. Rosamund Edwards, addressed the graduants. Several prizes were awarded to students of forms one to four. Also, outstanding graduants received prizes for steady application, conduct, punctuality, regularity,and school spirit. Special awards were given for each subject area.

The ceremony concluded with the Valedictory Address from the valedictorian, Miss Kimberly Lawrence, and the graduants' song.
